Sherlock Holmes is a private detective character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Holmes is know for his proficiency with observation, forensic science and logical reasoning that boarders on the fantastic, which he employs when investigating cases for a wide variety of clients. Sherlock first appeared in 1887 ‘A Study in Scarlet’.
